Old Community Posts from Firefly's YouTube channel

Updated: Mar 24, 2023

Below is a compilation of some of my old Community posts, just in case anyone wanted to view them :)

"My light is more powerful than your darkness." I am sharing with all of you the words I have used over the past several years any time evil, chaos, or negativity tried to consume me. I had to speak these words aloud today, when yet again darkness crept in and in its sneaky and vicious way, almost successfully controlled me. Please speak these words if you begin to feel taken by darkness. These words saved me on many occasions. The fact that darkness has been trying to interfere lately, only means that our light is getting stronger. Empaths, healers, and bright people are a threat to darkness, and so it desperately tries to destroy us. But darkness cannot destroy light--it can only corrupt it, and it tries to do this within our own minds first. Remember that we are more powerful, no matter what. If you speak these words aloud, you will confront it, expose it, and ultimately defeat it. Stay protected, my friends. See you next week 💖🙏💪

Taking a moment to remind you of how powerful and beautiful you all are. That you have everything within yourself to succeed and to conquer whatever struggles you are going through right now. I read my comments daily--grateful for every single one of you. We are the collective, and therefore nobody is alone. Remember to grant yourself the same love and compassion you would for anybody else, and to grant the same kindness and respect to a stranger that you would towards a loved one. Remember that although it is healthy to evolve, that you are still perfect exactly as you are right now, and you do not need to punish yourself for not matching that vision. Praying that all of us release what doesn't serve us, like fear, anger, or pride, and embrace what will move us forward, especially love, forgiveness, and humility. Hoping that you remember gratitude in your everyday life for the gifts and blessings that surround us, while striving for the goodness and freedom that still you deserve. Remember your light, always, in times of darkness and corruption. Let that guide your way, and forever keep you safe. I love you all.

A short essay on embracing your spiritual gifts:

For a long time, I avoided using the word "psychic". My whole life, I never called myself psychic, or gifted, or even told many people I had any of the abilities growing up that I was already confused about.

I have few memories of specific conversations, but two come to mind. Once, at an old job, a judgmental coworker responding to a topic of spirituality by saying immediately with a dismissive tone, "I don't believe in any of that crap".
And another at a social gathering, a friend's girlfriend so rigidly and condescendingly deciding for everyone else who was standing next to her why things like spiritual readings shouldn't be acknowledged or believed, simply, "Because it isn't real".

Aside from these examples, I've accumulated a lifetime of memories surrounding countless people dismissing intuitive abilities, spiritual signs or information, or the fact that there is more to the eye than what we can see or prove scientifically.

In college, I remember a psychology professor teaching his lectures with a very obvious bias and disdain for psychic phenomena, casting off content in our textbooks and even some students' personal experiences that they shared in class, even inciting mocking laughter.

All the while, strange and unexplainable things happened to me on a regular basis. Vivid dreams that came true, weird coincidences, and inner knowings were a vital part of my life, and therefore of my being. But because of cynics like these that rejected psychic ability, and by extension rejected me, I often kept it hidden, or anxiously changed my language about it. If these topics came up, I felt like I constantly had to prove myself or defend myself, and even when I did, it was always a losing battle.
For years, I not once ever embraced or spoke aloud my abilities, for fear of this rejection and ridicule, even though it was clearly who I was, like a fundamental part of my soul that needed to sing its existence.

Recently I was reminded of these experiences and this emotional trigger, because of a conversation with a friend who truly meant no harm. I decided to write this post for anyone who has also experienced rejection and ridicule because of your gifts or beliefs, to remind you that you aren't alone. You aren't "crazy", you aren't "full of shit", you aren't "weird" (the derogatory version of 'weird', since weird is awesome).

You are you.
You are gifted.
You are loved, and accepted.

Your belief in things that we can't always see or prove, things that are unable to be explained, only shows how open minded and open hearted you are. And those that refuse to acknowledge or open their minds to any of this, just prove how rigid and inflexible they are, which ironically closes them off to experiencing any spiritual phenomena to begin with.

Healthy skeptics want us to be discerning, and I respect this, as I am a healthy skeptic too--which means, be vigilant, see clearly through situations. Work hard to avoid being biased or seeing only what you want to see. Observe with a perspective greater than your own, take evidence, and truly remain open minded and flexible the whole way through, for this is the only way to really get to Truth.

I feel a sense of sorrow and loss for all who actively reject spirituality and all its wonders, and I pray that just one more person can open their eyes to something beyond what they stubbornly believe in, because all they will find ultimately is love, as well as healing.

In any case, a new friend I made recently, helped me to have the courage to say, "I am psychic", and I'm very grateful to her. Because once you acknowledge your truth, once you acknowledge yourself, this only becomes stronger. And we become more aligned with our purpose and our very reason for being.

I hope all of you can embrace your gifts, stay vigilant and discerning, and have courage in who you are and everything that you believe and experience, no matter what anybody says. I hope the cynical people of the world can become just a little more open, and allow light and compassion to flow through them and within them, and that one day they can also experience personally the beauty of spirituality and its gifts.

Thanks for reading this, and I hope it helped just one person to speak their truth and to find some healing.

Love,
Firefly 💖

If you want to know the secret to harnessing your true power, the answer is balance.
Within each of us we have light and darkness. The capacity for both good and evil, even if this takes some digging to realize.
Our inner scales may waver for a lifetime, but the moment they come into balance and we are centered, everything changes.
It is that exact moment where compassion meets cruelty, and cruelty meets compassion.
Where joy meets sadness, where peace meets suffering.
If you take the force of each and meet them in the middle, suddenly you are whole and complete, and capable of anything.
Like you're standing tall with certainty, not pride, powerful yet humble.
The stance of a warrior.
It is equivalent to a deep and focused stare, looking outward, understanding that you may have to sacrifice a part of yourself in order to achieve this balance, for you, for the greater good.
And being okay with that.

Maybe the meaning of life is to come back to where we started.
A state of light, where we once began.
To come back to peace,
To come back to love,
To come back to play, and fearlessness.
All this ever was,
Was the slow and steady drifting off from childhood
Tainted by the many shadows of adulthood
Where fear, shame, and darkness suddenly were real.
Perhaps this whole time,
The point was to become aware
Not of pains
But of joy
To know that life can be a game
Instead of an exhausting, endless war.
Maybe the point was to not be trapped by ignorance
But to free ourselves by innocence
To let shine our inner child,
Who loves
Who runs
Who explores
Who knows only of light
To become aware of this
And only this
How bright our world would become.
